Walking with Jesus to the cross

Holy Week is here! This week in chapel Pastor Jonathan Meyer will be leading us as we walk with Jesus to see and hear what Christ did as he made his final steps to the cross.

Pastor Jonathan Meyer is here serving a one-year call in our theology department. He is teaching Life of Christ to freshman and sophomores, as well as Theology of the Cross and Deeper Dive into Doctrine to juniors and seniors.

Did you know you can join us each day for chapel online? Each week we broadcast our chapel via livestream every day but Wednesday. (Chapel times can be found on the home page of the school website under upcoming events.)

Mr. David Uhlhorn, has announced that he has returned his call to Michigan Lutheran Seminary to serve as Vice President. Praise God for the continued blessing Mr. Uhlhorn will be to our school! We continue to pray for the ministry at MLS as the look to fill their vacancy. Mr. Jeff Dolan has also returned his call to Trinity Brillion for grades 7-8, Mr. Dolan will continue to faithfully serve MLHS. Mr. Kevin Buch continues hold his call from Grace Lutheran in St. Josephs, MI, to teacher grades 6-8 science and be the technology director. This year's MLHS Forensics team consisted of 12 students, 10 of whom participated in competition and 9 of whom qualified for state. 5 students participated for the very first time. The team's 12 members represented a staggering 10 different categories, an awesome indication of a variety of interests going forward. Practices were held twice a week after school as a team for the first time (previously individual practices). The team took first place at the Big East Conference Meet (North Division) in January before hosting the Subdistrict Festival on the MLHS campus. All team members advanced from subdistrict competition to participate in Neenah for the District Festival. Finally at the State Festival in DeForest, our 9 qualifiers earned 2 bronze, 1 silver, and 6 golds! The team says goodbye to seniors Anna Aden, Amelie Doneff, and Isaiah Ruddat who boast a combined 11 years of experience on the team.
