Building Committee is resuming their meetings this week to begin the design drawings for phase one, the gym!

MLHS Sacred Christmas Concert

The music department of Manitowoc Lutheran High School will be holding its annual Christmas Concert on Thursday, December 22nd at the Capitol Civic Centre in downtown Manitowoc. 

The concert, entitled “Let Earth Receive Her King!” will feature the three high school choirs and the MLHS Symphonic Band.  Also featured will be the Lakeshore Lutheran Chorale, an adult ensemble made up of members from the WELS Lutheran Churches along the Lakeshore.

Concert times are 4:30 and 7:30. The concert is free and open to the public; however, a free will offering will be gathered.  Come and celebrate the birth of our Savior Jesus at the Capital Civic Centre.

End of Semester Info

All missing work must be completed by Dec 26th.  If anything isn’t done by that date, the student will receive an F for the entire course.  In addition, if any work is still missing after Dec 19th, the students will be required to stay after school for an hour, or until the missing work is done, on the 20th and 21st.  If missing work is still due, students will be required to come in on the 22nd until their work is done.  Please partner with us to help your student complete all their work so they can enjoy their break.

12/8 Mr. Joel Barthel received a called to teach at Lakeside Lutheran High School in the science department.

12/12 Mr. Nathan Meitner received a call to teach 7th & 8th Grade, departmentalized and serve as the congregational music leader at St. Paul’s in Columbus, OH.

12/13 Mr. James Otto received a call to serve as English instructor and coach forensics at Shoreland Lutheran High School in Kenosha, WI.

Please keep all these gentlemen and their families in your prayers as their prayerfully consider where to best serve the Lord. 

 

 
 
 

Volunteers Needed

We are blessed to have several home basketball games in the coming weeks and we need your help to keep our concession stand open.  There are many volunteer opportunities available, we cannot do this without you.

Senior Ads for the 22/23 Yearbook: The Excalibar

This year the yearbook staff has set aside six pages for senior ads.They are available on a first come, first served basis. Unfortunately, when the pages are gone – they are gone.

Lancer Boys Basketball

The Lancer boys fell in both games last week and are now 2-5 on the season. In the first game of the week, on Thursday, 12/15, the boys traveled to Cedar Grove and lost a tough matchup 55-57. Leading the Lancers in scoring was senior Luke Marohn with 17, followed by senior Aiden Franzen with 9. 

On Saturday, 12/17, the Lancers hosted the Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran Blazers. The Blazers shooting proved to be too much for the Lancers as they fell 59-73. The Lancers had four players score in double digits, junior Noah Lukasek led the was with 14, both sophomore Derek Laabs and Aiden Franzen scored 12, while Junior Noah Czarneski tapped in 11 more. 

The Lancers travel to St. Mary Catholic on Monday, 12/19, to take on the Zephyrs, then have a short Christmas break and play again on Wednesday, December 12/28, 6:30 pm vs Kiel.

Lancer Girls Basketball

The Lancer girls varsity team split games this week and are now 5-3. On Tuesday, 12/13, the Lancers hosted the Cedar Grove-Belgium Rockets and came out victorious 58-54. Leading all scoring in the matchup was Lancer Freshman Marissa Mehlhorn with 24. On Friday, 12/16, the Lancers hosted the St. Mary Catholic Zephyrs and were defeated 37-60. Marissa Mehlhorn again led the Lancers in scoring with 10 points. 

This week the Lancers host Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah on Tuesday, 12/20. The Lancer girls play again after Christmas on Thursday 12/29 vs Two Rivers at Reedsville Elementary as part of the Reedsville tournament, at 5:00pm.
