Call Update

On September 22nd, the MLHS Board of Control, issued a call to Pastor Kock to serve full time in our theology department. Pastor Kock would also teach Latin 1 and 2.  If he accepts this call, the MLHS Federation would look to call a new President as soon as possible. Regardless of his decision, President Kock would continue to serve as MLHS President for the remainder of this school year. Please pray for him, his family, and MLHS during this time of deliberation. Feel free to reach out to him at nkock@mlhslancers.org. Thank you.

MLHS Cross Country

The Lancer Cross Country team competed at the Pioneer Invite hosted by Sevastopol at Cherry Hills Golf Course in Sturgeon Bay. Sevastopol’s Invite was a new to us meet. It was a challenging course but very good pre-cursor to the rolling hills next week and our hilly Sectional Meet. Teams in attendance were Sevastopol, Sturgeon Bay, Gibraltar, Two Rivers and Freedom.

Boys Varsity finished 2nd behind Two Rivers and just 1 point ahead of Freedom. Jacob Kanzenbach led the way with a time of 17:39 placing 5th. 3 of his teammates finished in the top 10 earning medals as well: Jonah Melso 7th 18:03, Seth Ciha 9th 18:18 and Ryder Vogt 10th 18:20. Rounding out Varsity was Joey Ungemach in a time of 19:25. Of note, Jacob Kanzenbach’s time of 17:39 places him 2nd on the Sophomore all-time list and 14th all time in school history for all grades over 28 seasons. Ryder’s time of 18:20 places him in 9th on the Sophomore all-time list. The JV boys took 3rd place and had two top 10 finishes: Ricky Li 7th 22:07 and Noah Lukasek 10th 22:50.

Girls’ Varsity finished 5th led by Trisha Kiss with a time of 23:36 in 20th place. Girls Varsity scoring top 5 were: Isabella Blauert, Bitsy Blauert, Myra Liermann and Taylor Schuettpelz. Girls’ JV was the only complete JV team. They were led by two top 10 finished by Kaly Wang 7th and Paula de la gala Moreta 8th. Full results are on tandhtiming.com

The next meet on the schedule for the Lancers and Jr Lancers is the Russ Fameree Memorial Invite hosted by Luxemburg-Casco at Northbrook Golf Course on Friday October 7th. Results will be at www.xmtiming.com.
