The MLHS Fine Arts Department is loves to work with the staff and students of our Lakeshore Lutheran Schools! Here are a few ways that we will be working with you and your families in the coming year. If there is any other way that we can assist you with equipment, music, or curriculum needs in the Fine Arts, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Programs

· Jr. Lancer Band Lesson Program (Grades 5-8)

· Jr. Lancer Band – Beginner Band (Students in year 1 of lessons)

· Jr. Lancer Band – Concert Winds (Students in year 2-4 of lessons)

· Jr. Lancer Band – Jazz Kidz (Any 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year student interested in playing jazz)

· Jr. Lancer Youth Choir (Grades 4-8)

Hosting Fine Arts Events for the Lakeshore Lutheran Schools

Here are some important dates for the 2023-2024 school year to keep in mind and inform your faculty, staff, and school family about:

· October 24th: Lancer Singers & Jazz Band visit Bethany – Manitowoc and St. John – Newtonburg

· October 25th: Lancer Singers & Jazz Band visit Trinity – Kiel and St. Paul – Howards Grove

· December 10th: Jr. Lancer Band and Choir Concert at 3:00pm in the MLHS Gym

· December 21st: MLHS Christmas Concert at 4:30 & 7:30pm at the Capitol Civic Centre

· February 16th: Lakeshore Lutheran Children’s Choral Festival at MLHS from 1:00-6:00pm (Concert at 6:30pm in the MLHS Gym)

· March 8th: Spring Musical Matinee Performance for Lakeshore Lutheran Schools at 9:00am in the MLHS Gym

· April 12th: Lakeshore Lutheran Music Festival at MLHS

· April 21st: Joint Band Concert with the Jr. Lancer Bands and MLHS Bands at 6:30pm in the MLHS Gym

· May 11th: MLHS Prism Concert (Jr. Lancer Band – Jazz Kidz perform) at 4:00 & 7:00pm in the MLHS Gym

Perhaps you noticed the new LLS logo?  It was adopted last May as the official logo of Lakeshore Luther Schools.  It also appears in the shield of the Manitowoc Lutheran Logo.  Feel free to use it as you wish.
