Junior Lancer Wrestling, is committed to creating a high-energy, enjoyable experience for young athletes. Our program offers age-appropriate instruction tailored to each child’s developmental level, ensuring that beginners build a strong foundation in wrestling fundamentals while more experienced wrestlers continue to grow.
Each week, boys and girls in grades K–8 are introduced to new techniques that build on core skills, helping them develop strength, confidence, and a deeper understanding of the sport. Our goal is to equip every wrestler with the tools they need to succeed in competition—while fostering a love for the sport in a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment.
Open to boys and girls from Lakeshore Lutheran Schools and federation congregations, Junior Lancer Wrestling welcomes all skill levels. Whether your child is just starting out or looking to sharpen their abilities, this is a great opportunity to learn, grow, and have fun.
Join us and experience the many benefits of wrestling—on and off the mat!
JR. LANCER COACHESJeremy Sehloff, Kyle Drumm and Joe NickelsPURPOSEWrestling instruction at MLHS is geared to the age of the student. Beginner wrestlers are presented with basic foundation skills, and new skills are introduced each week as wrestlers progress. Emphasis is placed on step-by-step mastery of each move. Understanding all principles involved will make the wrestler successful in competition. Presentation of guidelines for proper conditioning, nutrition, and exercise is included. Jr. Lancer Wrestling maintains a balance between mat work, instruction, and FUN.COSTThere is no cost to be a Jr. Lancer wrestler.
